Capstone Update

Overall, the past week has been dedicated to an exploration of branding and titling for the coffee cart. I think I am close but not quite there for each element. A few different names have been in circulation but there is more sketching and editing to be done.The color palette is getting close as well. I think I’m heading towards a direction of “Pinpoint” or “Waypoint” but I might actually change directions entirely and go for “Circles” instead. This was a very recent discovery and has yet to be sketched.

Another aspect has been looking at previous carts and what has been done in the past. The goal is to make a functional, working coffee cart, so I have been researching how best to set up the station. I want to also make this cart collapsible so that it can fit inside my car. These videos have brought insight to how this might be done and possible. Reading Discussion

This weeks reading discussion was really beneficial and brought a good perspective towards my work. Something I really enjoyed the concept of was gardening. Using other activities to bring creative inspiration to life and to empty the mind for more thoughts. I related to this one really well because I often do mindless tasks to have my best ideas.

Something that I’ll be applying to my work is using different medias and other peoples work and rearranging it to see what new I can come up with to apply to my work. I think this is such a useful way to bring in new ideas without having to force the brain to come up with things. I believe it would produce a natural journey of creative thought by finding new contexts to register things with.
